How to Enjoy Your Garden at Night

Gardens can be a great place for you and your family members, guests, and friends to relax in, however, it is hard to enjoy the fresh air and scenery when it gets dark and cold outside. You want to make the most out of your space, share it with loved ones, and enjoy the special patio, garden features, and scents. Below you will find some tips on how to make the most out of long nights in your garden.

Install Garden Lights

To improve visibility in your garden and make sure that you create a magical look for the evening, you can install some outdoor lighting without the need for wires. Solar powered or Dimmable LED Rope Lights can be installed at a low cost and placed in areas you would like to highlight. Make sure if you have a gate you illuminate it, and you can get string lights put on your special plants you have been nurturing all summer. Get some lights on your table and chairs, and enjoy the great outdoors.

Illuminated Water Features

One of the best ways you can enhance the appearance of your natural garden at night is to light up your small fountain or water feature. There are several ways of doing this, such as built in lights, small spot lights, or color changing effects. Water features make your garden look romantic and sophisticated; let them enhance your evenings, too.

Outdoor Log Burners

When it gets cold outside, your guests might usually ask you to move to the house. If you have a small chiminea or log burner you can put close to your seating area, you can stay out all night. Get a special fire pit designed and you will be able to enjoy a late barbecue and warm up next to the fire. There is nothing nicer that roasted marshmallows in the garden late at night.

Create a Garden Gazebo

If it is not only dark outside but also cold and wet, you might decide that your garden is not the right place to entertain your friends. Having a gazebo has plenty of advantages, and you can get shelter from rain, snow, and wind enjoying a glass of wine. You can install special gazebo lights for entertainment and get some temporary screens up for cold days,  so you can all sit around and chat the night away.

Keep Insects in Control

Bugs are attracted to light, so if you have an outdoor party and lighting on the table, you are likely to get annoyed by them. Get a zapper installed or burn incense sticks that repel bugs, so you can chill outside without being constantly annoyed by them.

Gardens can and should be enjoyed at night as well as in the daytime. Get your mood lighting installed, install a fire pit, and design a shelter for cold and windy days, so you can invite friends over for a late night chat.
